BICYCLES we offer are handmade and require special care for shipping. We ask that you allow 6-10 weeks for delivery, though it may be quicker.
CUSTOM WORK Paint or special orders of any kind must be paid in full upon placement of order and are not refundable.
PAYMENT All orders must be paid in full before we ship. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Money Orders and the green stuff. Discounts may be offered if you do not use a plastic card.
SUBSTITUTIONS of comparable components and/or accessories may be carried out by the manufacturers.
WE OFFER multiple sizes and shapes of city bikes to fit all sorts of bodies. To determine which frame would be suitable for you, we will need your inseam measurement and overall height. As we are selling personal transportation, we feel it important to provide as much customer support as possible. It is also our belief that personal contact is key to a successful process. EVERYWHERE During the past 6 years, we have shipped all over the continent, and beyond. Single bikes and container loads. For international deliveries, the customer is responsible for entry fees and duties - but we can provide knowledgeable assistance, just ask.
LOCAL DELIVERIES When possible, we will deliver your bike by van to local MA addresses. We also make van deliveries to NYC. This can dramatically reduce S/H costs. Call for more info. Or you can arrange to pick up your purchases.
CRATING Our packaging reflects the value of our products. Your new city bike will arrive in a custom made wood crate, designed to protect if from the potential perils of travel. The crate is easily opened with a screwdriver. We advise that you store the crate and packing materials for 30 days so that should you decide to return the bike it can arrive back at our shop in the same, new condition.
TOOLS For most bikes we sell you'll want to have a 15mm open wrench handy for the pedals, a 13mm handy to adjust seat height, and a 6mm allen key to adjust the handlebars. These bits are removed/adjusted to fit a smaller crate, to reduce shipping costs and better protect the bike. We'll talk you through the fine tuning or you can download the pdf.
CHARGES Shipping and handling charges are based on size and weight of your order. For most addresses your total will be less than $300. Business addresses that can accept freight are always cheaper. We use trusted freight companies and insure for full replacement value - however with our care and practiced packing techniques, your fully assembled bicycle should arrive ready to ride!
DAMAGE CONTROL Damage to crate and/or freight must be noted with shipper upon receipt to get credit for a return, and you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt of damaged product. Take pictures of the crate Before opening. OR you can simply refuse to accept the shipment, noting the reason as well as visible damage with the delivery person in writing. We will handle the claim from there. Please be patient, we'll be at the mercy of the insurance company, we will do our very best.
